✦ Synopsis
The controller und observer block-bidiagonal-Frohenius ,forms ,for a class of' multivariable systems are presented. These can be employed in the state-feedback poleplacement and state-observer designs, with the advuntage that they do not need to compute the characteristic matrix polynomial coefficients as required when using the block canonical forms. Moreover, the proposed method can be employed in the design problems .for general multivariable systems by using uppropriate art@ial input and output. The gain matrices ure given directly from the block-hidiagonal-Frobenius,form without any computation.
