โœฆ Synopsis

i'?ze formation of acetate, glycolate, chloroacetate and /3-chloropropionate complexes of uranium( VI) in dimethylsulfoxide has been investigated by the polarographic method. 0. IM tetrabutylammonium perchlorate was used as supporting electrolyte. The 3:l acetate and the 1:I glycolate complexes give distinct cathodic waves; the polarographic behaviour allows to evident&e also the 1:I and 2:I acetate, the I :1 chloroacetate and

Pchloropropionate complex formation. 7Re formed complexes are stronger in DMSO than in water and the more so the harder the ligand. The (a)-character of uranyl ion is more marked in DMSO than in aqueous media.

## The complex formation reaction between some aliphatic amines and uranyl(VI) ion in dimethylsulfoxide has been investigated by polarographic and spectrophotometric methods. Primary amines such as n-butylamine and n-hexylamine give a distinct cathodic wave which may be discussed in term of the succ
