The first measurement of the polarization transfer observables in rrd elastic scattering has been performed at two pion bombarding energies below and at the A33 resonance (134 MeV and 180 MeV) using a deuteron target polarized perpendicular to the scattering plane and a deuteron tensor polarimeter.

We investigated the influence of the deuteron wave function and of the off-shell behavior of the 7rN system on the differential cross section and on polarization observables of elastic 7rd scattering at an incident pion energy of 256 MeV.
