We report a short-cavity fiber laser configured with a high-concentration erbium-doped fiber with stable singlefrequency output. The fiber laser utilized a fiber Bragg grating inscribed into a piece of polarization-maintaining optical fiber as the output coupler to ensure a stable single frequency l

We report a novel-principle fiber-laser intra-cavity sensor for measuring refractive index and solute concentration of aqueous solutions. The sensor operation is based on a variation of the laser oscillation relaxation frequency (the measured parameter), sensitive to the intra-cavity loss change. Th
