Comet NEAT C/2001 Q4 was observed for linear polarization using the optical polarimeter mounted at the 1.2 m telescope at Mt. Abu Observatory, during the months of May and June 2004. Spectrophotometric CCD (charge-coupled detector) observations of Comet Tabur (C/1996 Q1) allowed us to accomplish a detailed multi-color photometry of cometary continuum in the nearnucleus region and to obtain the change of spectral properties of the cometary dust with the distance from the nucleus.
