High temperature coating seals metals and ceramics

A high temperature coating called Aremco-Seal 815, developed by Aremco Products Inc, has been introduced to seal metals, porous ceramics and refractories to 593 °C (1100 °F). Aremco-Seal 815 is a single-component, water soluble, silicone-based coating which offers good weathering and thermal shock resistance. Excellent chemical and abrasion resistance are also provided after the sealant is cured for 1 to 2 hours at 204 °C (400 °F).

Applications range from end-sealing tubular heating elements to sealing metal refractory stacks used in the chemical process and refinery Industries.
