The plastic ullles and the rotation of the cracked planes of an edge-cracked bend specimen are investigated by a numerical hrwdhensional analysis. For an alloy-steel, for beodiug moments up to the first yielding moment ofthe untracked specimen, it is shown that the crack tip is in small scale yielding.
