Pirelli, Hixih plan to build filter factory in China I taly's Pirelli has signed a memoran- dum of understanding with Hixih Group to build a factory in Yanzhou, Shandong province, China to manufacture particulate filters.

The new plant, which will produce retrofit and original equipment particulate filters, will be developed gradually with an investment of up to E50 million over three years. It will have an annual production of around 100 000 filters and 1200 employees. Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2010.

The new factory will be located in the same area where Pirelli and Hixih already produce truck and car tyres.
