✦ Synopsis

Pion absorption is a large fraction of the total pion-nucleus total cross section. Studies of pion absorption with large solid angle detectors have shown that the pion energy is typically distributed among three to four nucleons. The implications for neutrino interaction Monte Carlos is discussed.
