## Abstract A series of new N‐Substituted‐__N__′‐(4,6‐dimethylpyrimidin‐2‐yl)‐thiourea derivatives (**3a**, **3b**, **3c**, **3d**) and related fused heterocyclic compounds (**4a**, **4b**, **4c**, **4d**) were synthesized using tetrabutylammonium bromide as phase transfer catalyst (PTC). __N__‐[(2
