Excitation of the B 3tTu+u state of 12 in CC& solution with ~8 ps fwhm 531 nm mode-locked pulses yields substantial fluorescence, which contrasts with the pure resonance Raman emission spectrum displayed under 5 14.5 nm cw argon ion laser pumping.
