The reactions of some terpenic ketoneslaldehydes with alcohols were investigated in acidic medium. Some expected and unexpected products have been identified and possible mechanistic pathways leading to the products are discussed.
In the present work, N,N-dimethylformamide was chosen as a cosolvent of cellulose acetate (CA) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN). The blend solution showed appropriate viscosity, good membrane-forming property and relative stability.
The sorption characteristics of water, methanol and ethanol vapours in cellulose acetate (CA) Γlms were measured by microgravimetry. The sorption isotherms for water vapours in the CA Γlm at di β erent temperatures in the range 20Γ40Β‘C do not obey the Flory equation over the whole water activity rang
