✦ Synopsis

Nylons of the (n,3) series were characterized by differemtial scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy. The results are compared with the behaviour of other nylons (n,m) (m ~ 3). The mode of packing of the chains in the crystalline regions of the room temperature phases is also discussed.
