A~traet--From 13C-NMR relaxation time studies it was confirmed that the introduction of ionic end groups in polytetrahydrofuran (PTHF) polymers affects the hydrodynamic behaviour of these ionicallyterminated PTHF polymers. This phenomenon only occurs in solvents with low dielectric constant.

Abstraet--Tetrahydrofuran polymers terminated at one end with a pyridinium bromide group were prepared and their hydrodynamic behaviour contrasted with the equivalent methoxy-terminated polymers. The hydrodynamic behaviour of methoxy-terminated polytetrahydrofuran in cyclohexane, toluene, tetrahydro
