Batch'digestion experiments were conducted to determine the effects of inoculum:substrate ratio and initial medium pH on methane production from glucose. A ratio between the chemical oxygen demands of the substrate and inoculum solids (SISR) was used to quantify the food to microorganisms ratio. Two

✦ Synopsis
To aid the improvement offiel properties of oils, basic physical and combustion-rehted
properties uf low molecttlar weight triglycerides are described. These properties include densiy, viscosity, heat capacity, surface tension and vapor pressure. Fuel injection utvmizution fuctors were determined for these triglycerides. Properties of tributyrin (C4:0), tricaproin (Ch:O), tricaprylin (C&O) and tricaprin (C1O:O) indicate that these triglycetides are potential components in future diesel fuels derived from plunt oils.
