✦ Synopsis

Einstein-Laboratorium der AdW der DDR Reconsidering the famous Bohr-Einstein discussion, it is shown that the sensation caused by quantum mechanics is not only due to the real difference between classical and quantum mechanics, but also an expression of a non-adequate consciousness of the epistemological foundations of classical physics and physics at all. I n quantum mechanics this inadequate consciousness becomes completely unacceptable. Quantum mechanics forces us to understand that physics needs means of cognition which must be conceived in its function to understand a physical theory. This is true for the comprehension of classical mechanics, too. Only if one considers the relation of quantum to classical mechanics from this point of view, then one can understand quantum mechanics and the revolution of physics caused by it.
