โœฆ Synopsis

We have calculated photoresponse and photosensitivity of single ultrasmall current-biased tunnel junctions, single-electron transistors, and various multi-junction arrays. In the far infrared, potential sensitivity of some single-electron structures compares favorably with that of other low-temperature photodetectors.
