β¦ Synopsis
Aa an exteneion of the inveatigatione of nucleophilic photosubstitution reaction8 of aromatic compounds (l), the photobehaviour of(nitro) benzene derivatives in liquid ammonia is being studied in this laboratory. We want to report the formation of nitroanilinea when nitrobensenee are illuminated in liquid ammonia in a quarts vessel by the light of a high pressure mercury arc.
