β¦ Synopsis
Cis and trans isomers have been identified in solutions of the dye DCM and the absolute absorption cross sections have been measured for both. Tluoreseent lifetimes and quantum yields for fluorescence have been measured as a function of solvent and the results demonstrate the unique nature of the photophysics in this system.

## Abstract Both high __cis__β1,4βpolybutadiene and high __trans__β1,4βpolybutadiene were found to isomerize when heated in the presence of elemental sulfur. The kinetics of the sulfur induced isomerization of high __cis__β1,4βpolybutadiene were studied over a wide range of temperature and sulfur c
The 1 H NMR study of fulleroproline derivative Ac-Fpr-OtBu and its Pro analogue Ac-L-Pro-OtBu over a range of temperatures in toluene-d 8 solution has enabled the comparison of their equilibrium and activation parameters for the trans/cis interconversion around the amide partial double bond.
