✦ Synopsis
The photon-induced &sorption and dissociation of OZ chemisorbed on Pd( 111) have been studied using s-and p-polarized light (hv= 1.4-5.4 eV). Post-irradiation temperature-programmeddesorption (TPD) measurements have been used to follow the 02 photodesorption and O2 photodissociation processes. Both O2 photodesorption and dissociation are enhanced by p-polarized light compared to s-polarized light.
