โฆ Synopsis
Visible (450 nm) and 1R laser photo!ysls processes of CFaI molecules xc studed through stite-selectlve resonant multiphoton lonizatlon (RhlPI) of atomic rodine. Suftiaently strong vibrational evcitatlon of CFBi m the IR field of a TEA CO2 laser LS found to make possible 450 nm dye-laser photolysls of the molecules. the estunated photolysls cross section being around 5 x lO-*l cm*. it is shown that in the case of steady-state IR BIP dlssoclatlon of CFsI, the RMPI detectlon of the excited iodme (SP(*P~/~)) appearmg as a result of 450 nm photolysis of the CFa1 molecules enables one to measure on a real-tune scale the fraction of molecules that failed to dissociate under IR radiation.
