โœฆ Synopsis


We report photoelectron spectra of the outer and, m particular, the inner valence electron region of gaseous NO for several photon energies between 45 and I10 eV. The spectra are measured at the quasi magic angle, so that the electron distribution curves represent the variation of the cross sectlon independent of the p parameter. We find 16 bands in the inner valence region which can be tentatively correlated to various shake-up excitations. On the basis of published theoretical work, a comparison is made with spectra taken with soft X-ray excitation.
