Irradiation of [(Tpms)Rh(CO)(PMe 3 )] (1) in benzene or [D 6 ]benzene affords the rhodium(III) compounds [(Tpms)-Rh(H)(C 6 H 5 )(PMe 3 )] (2) and [(Tpms)Rh(D)(C 6 D 5 )(PMe 3 )] (2d 6 ) respectively.
