The combination of the K500 superconducting cyclotron and the recoil spectrometer MARS have been used to generate secondary radioactive ion beams ranging from 7 Be at 12 MeV/u to 62 Ga at 37 MeV/u. Secondary beams are produced via transfer reactions in inverse kinematics using stable beams from the
