✦ Synopsis
Photoelectrochemical properties of Sr,FeNbOe, Sr,,, FeI,lNbO,_,and SrsFeNb,O, havingthe oerovskite structures were investiaated usine. sintered &lets to determine the enerav aan and the flat-band potential and to evaluate the ele&ochem&l stability against the anodic decomJ&&. The energy gap determined was 1.9eV for Sr,FeNblO, and 2.3eV for both Sr2FeNbOs and Srl,9Fe,.,Nb0,_,. The flatband potentiai of these materials was found to be cca. 0.1 V positive of the reversible hydrogen electrode in measured solutions. The onset potential of anodic photocurrents did not coincide with the tit-band potential, however, being more positive than that and varied with the kind of redox electrolyte chosen. Probable causes for this phenomenon are briefly discussed.
