✦ Synopsis

The photoelectrochemical (PEC) properties of lithium based mixed tungstate of Pb(lI) prepared by ceramic technique. Its chemical composition was determined by estimating its metal contents. The electrode material was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), electrical conductivity and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The photoelectrochemical property of lithium based mixed tungstates of Pb (II) is a good choice as photoanode in a PEC cell because of its 2.75 eV band-gap. The Flat -band potential is located at -0.15 Vs SCE. The conversion efficiency was found to be 0.41%.
