Abstract
The use of polymeric materials as βthickβ recording media for holographic applications is discussed. These materials offer some interesting applications owing to their high diffraction efficiency, high storage density, excellent angular and spectral discrimination, as well as in situ realβtime recording. The present state of art is outlined, as are prospects for the future.
