โฆ Synopsis
The electric field effect on the UV decomposition of ketene was studied. The ratio of the main products [&H.,] / [C2Hs] which is proportional to [ CH2( 'A, ) ] / [CH2 ('B, ) ] 2 was measured as a function of pressure and as a function ofthe electric field strength in the range O-5 kV/cm. A significant dependence of this ratio on the electric field was observed up to a saturation value, These results can be explained in terms of the singlet-triplet collisional induced intersystem crossing.
๐ SIMILAR VOLUMES
A lower hybrid current drive model which takes into account a dc electric field has been developed. The model is based on the Fokker-Planck equation, plasma circuit equation and power balance equations. Simulation results qualitatively agree well with those of the experiments.
