β¦ Synopsis
ANtraet--By reacting iodine with poly[bis(p-tolylamino)]phosphazene (PTAP) in methylene chloride, a doped material is obtained; imino side-groups of the macromolecule are complexed to form "inner'" charge-transfer structures. This process is accelerated by irradiating the system with light of a suitable wavelength range (2 >~ 320 nm) and the doped material can be easily separated and purified as a brown powder. Solid samples of more than 4 5% doped PTAP are unstable and gradually lose iodine to attain this limiting doping level. Stable samples of 4% doped PTAP have a specific conductivity a of about 3 x 10 ~4 sec cm ~. two orders greater than that of the undoped polymer.

## Abstract Well characterized poly[bis(__p__βmethoxyphenoxy)phosphazene] (PB(4βMeO)PP) has been investigated employing Xβray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The DSC heating scan of the original PB(4βMeO)PP specimen exhibits one exotherm at 110Β°C and two endotherms at 106Β°C
The photochemistry of poly[bis(4-isopropylphenoxy)phosphazene] (PIPP) sensitized by hexakis(4-benzoylphenoxy)cyclophosphazene and by poly[bis(4-benzoylphenoxy)phosphazene] was investigated both in solution and in film. Air-equilibrated CH2CI 2 solutions of this polymer, also containing the above-men
In this paper we report the solution and solid-state photochemistry of poly[bis(4benzylphenoxy)phosphazene] sensitized by benzophenone. U.V. and Cr. spectroscopic characterizations and weight average molecular weight data indicate that the main reaction under irradiation for this polymer dissolved i
