The hydroxylation of benzoic acid by hydrogen peroxide initiated b 589 nm radiation is catalyzed by the following Fe(II1) compounds: F:CL K3[Fe(C204) 1, Na2[Fe(CN)5NO], and K3[Fe(CN)6]. This photochemical reac 1' ion can be ef ectivety sensitized by methylene blue. ?
The photocatalytic decomposition of salicylic acid with visible light in an oxygenated aqueous suspension of colloidal particles has been a-Fe 2 O 3 studied. About 10È20 ppm of this organic is degraded within 1 h of irradiation, depending upon the initial salicylic acid concentration. Kinetic parame
