✦ Synopsis

Ethylindium(II1) tetraphenylporphyrin, C,Hs-In(III)TPP, undergoes photoinduced homolytic cleavage of the C,H,-In bond to produce the zwitterionic indium(II1) tetraphenylporphyrin, In(III)+ TPP-, in which a positive charge is located on the central indium atom and a negative one on the tetraphenylporphyrin (TPP) ligand.
