Ultra-fine rutiic was prepared from titanium tctrachloridc below 100°C and calcined in order 10 increase particle size. The effect of the particlc six of Ihc rutilc on the photocatalytic activity in a mcthanoi-uatcr solurron \vas observed in the range 120-l 500 A. The activity incrcxcd invcrscly with the diamcfer.
