✦ Synopsis
Photochemical reaction in a potassium-doped Ðlm was studied using Fourier transform mass spectrometry C 60 (FT-MS). The FT-MS results for the Ðlm before and after UV-visible irradiation show that no monomer was C 60 observed in the spectrum of the photoirradiated Ðlm. This indicates that all molecules were completely photo-C 60 polymerized. The structure of the present polymer is discussed in comparison with the dimer formed via a C 60
C 60 [ 2 + 2 ] cycloaddition ring.
