Abstract
A series of N^6^,N^6^‐disubstituted 9__H__‐purin‐6‐amines 2a–i was prepared from 5‐acetamido‐6‐amino‐2‐methylpyrimidin‐4(3__H__)‐one (1) and a secondary amine or its hydrochloride in the presence of phosphorus pentoxide and triethylamine hydrochloride.
