Quantum yield me.asurements on K4Pt2(l12P20S)J in solution were performed over the same temper&ure mngz Data for tbc dissolved sample were lit to yield a 4l.S cm-' cncrp splitting of the assumed 3A zu ewited term into E, (T = 4.2 ps) and A tu (r = 6.06 ms) components. The quantum yield for this sample vdried from 0.13 at 4.2 6 to 0.43 at 77 K. The green and brown crystalline fumls slwwc~i sinlilar bclwior. x\ith somex~hat shorter lifetimes. A purple crystalline form showed no detectable luminescence from 1.6 to 301) 1;.
