Abstract

Phosphonylmethylaminocyclopentane‐1‐carboxylic acid was synthesized using Kabachnik–Fields reaction conditions in high yield and was characterized by NMR (^1^H, ^31^P, and ^13^C) and FAB spectroscopy. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
