## Abstract Stellation is the process by which astrocytes change from epithelialβlike to processβbearing cells. Stellation occurs following activation of either cyclic AMPβdependent protein kinase or protein kinase C. This process occurs through tubulinβdependent rearrangement of the cytoskeleton.
