Abstract
Phononless plasmon assisted transport through a long disordered array of finite length quantum wires is investigated analytically. Generically strong electron plasmon interaction in quantum wires results in a qualitative change of the temperature dependence of thermally activated resistance in comparison to phonon assisted transport. At high temperatures, the thermally activated resistance is determined by the Luttinger liquid interaction parameter of the wires. (Β© 2006 WILEYβVCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)

The magnetoresistance of electrons in a two-dimensional array of dots has been investigated. The new commensurability oscillations were found when \(2 \mathrm{R}_{L}=\mathrm{d}\) and \(2 R_{L}=\mathrm{d} / 2\). The closed electron trajectories skipping inside the dot are responsible for these oscill
The electron transport through a quantum-wire system in the presence of inhomogeneous magnetic fields is investigated theoretically. The system consists of two parallel quantum wires coupled by two ballistic windows, while the magnetic fields applied are uniform and equal in the two wires but vanish
