We have investigated exciton -phonon coupling and a zero-phonon exciton absorption line shape for lens-shaped quantum dots (QDs). Such dots occur in quasi-monolayer semiconductor heterostructures due to the interfacial roughness making quasi-2D excitons localize in lens-shaped quantum dot-like islan
The spin dynamics in self-organized InAs/GaAs quantum dots have been studied by time-resolved photoluminescence performed under strictly resonant excitation conditions. It is demonstrated that the carrier spins in these nanostructures are totally frozen on the scale of the exciton lifetime.
