Abstract
(9__Z__,25__S__,26__R__,43__Z__)‐25,26‐Epoxy‐9,43‐henpentacontadiene (1) and its antipode, the nymph recognition pheromone of Nauphoeta cinerea, were synthesized by extending the carbon chain of (2__S__,3__R__)‐4‐Acetoxy‐2,3‐epoxy‐1‐butanol (25). The Grignard coupling was the key reaction. magnified image
