โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
The four new phenylpropanoidโsubstituted catechins 1, 3, and 4 and 3โepicatechin (2), together with seven analogues, were isolated from the AcOEt extract of Smilax china L. (catechin=(2__R__,3__S__)โ2โ(3,4โdihydroxyphenyl)โ3,4โdihydroโ2__H__โ2โbenzopyranโ3,5,7โtriol). Their structures were determined by means of spectroscopic analyses, including HRโMS, IR, ^1^Hโ and ^13^CโNMR, and 2D experiments (COSY, HSQC, and HMBC), and comparison with known related compounds.
