✦ Synopsis
The angular distribution for the production reaction lriV ---f TN* at energies below 1 GeV. is investigated in terms of the familiar Legendre series expansion. By incorporating results from pion-nucleon phase-shift analysis we show that the most probable dominant inelastic decays of three pion-nucleon resonances are D,~(1520) --) N*(1238) + ?r, Dl6(1650) -+ D12(1520) + a, 325
