✦ Synopsis
The weak electroluminescence (EL) phenomena of Fe, 0, , flat glossy Fe, Pt, Ag and Ni, porous Ag and Ni and platinized Pt electrode in electrolyte solution were observed. The phenomena of weak electroluminescence appear only when 0, evolves at anodic polarization. Experimental results show that this kind of electrogenerated chemiluminescence can be employed as a new method to measure the acting area of porous electrode in electrochemical reactions and research of electrode processes.
