โœฆ Synopsis

The accuracy of the Wigner propagation method is studied for stationary as well as non-stationary states of Morse oscillators. We investigate the possibility of improving the approach by introducing an effective potential. We find that the Wigner propagation method is accurate only for the ground state.

## Abstract We have explored the impact of a number of basic simulation parameters on the results of a recently developed hybrid molecular dynamicsโ€quantum mechanics (MDโ€QM) method (Mercer et al., J Phys Chem B 1999, 103, 7720). The method utilizes MD simulations to explore the groundโ€state configu

Solution of the master equation for the damped harmonic oscillator is expressed in terms of the matrix elements of the representations of the group SU(1,1). We investigate the role of the group SU(1,1) in the optical attenuation and amplification processes. The connection to the ideal photon and qua

## Abstract Computational studies of proteins based on empirical force fields represent a powerful tool to obtain structureโ€“function relationships at an atomic level, and are central in current efforts to solve the protein folding problem. The results from studies applying these tools are, however,
