✦ Synopsis

TeO2 is studied in the region rich in TeO 2 with the aid of DTA and X-ray analysis. It is found that the sections TeO2-Ag20. V 205 . 2TeO2 and Ag 20. TeO2-Ag20.V 205 . 2 TeO 2 are simple ones. A new compound with a composition of Ag 20. 3 V 2 0 5 . 6 ToO 2 has been found in the section 2TeO2.V2Os-Ag20.V20 5. 2TeO 2 which melts incongruently. A part of the liquidus diagram of the system in which the two ternary compounds participate is plotted.
