✦ Synopsis


We consider a Fermi-gas with a short-range repulsive interaction. Strong coupling corrections to the Ginzburg-Landau free energy functional for the superfluid phase are calculated in thirdorder perturbation theory. In zero magnetic field and for small values of the coupling constant the BW-phase has the lowest minimal free energy. For increasing coupling constant a phase transition to the ABM phase occurs, yielding theoretical support to identify the A phase observed in 3He with the ABM phase.

In this paper we revisit the derivation of the Landau expansion for superfluid 'He. Following Nijhoff. Cape1 and Den Breems we adopt a model interaction which contains an L = I pairing interaction and a contact term of the Hubbard type. We formulate the problem in the language of the path integral a
