โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

Viewโ€toโ€view phase shifts due to B0 instability are corrected by applying a phase correction to the lowโ€spatialโ€frequency views. The algorithm described herein assumes that the signal intensity in the space outside of an object represents only noise. A set of phases for the lowโ€spatialโ€frequency views are calculated by minimizing, in the image, the intensity of the induced artifacts in the space outside of the object.

In in-vivo applications of proton NMR spectroscopic imaging, an oscillatory "ringing" artifact has been observed in some of the spectra. ## Abstract This work describes the method of generalized projections (MGP) as an imageโ€based, postprocessing method to correct for phase inconsistencies caused by echo misalignments in radial imaging. Computer simulations show that MGP can correct for echo shifts, constant phase, and amplitude err
