✦ Synopsis

The phase of a coherent excitation of a spin transition within an electron spin triplet state can be controlled by the pulsed coherent excitation of a second transition within the triplet. Experimentally the effect is demonstrated for localized defect triplet states in calcium oxide and diamond crystals.
