โฆ Synopsis
therapy or rational polypharmacy. Although exponents of this movement have different interpretations of its practice, it essentially implies that two, or more drugs, can be logically, often on biochemical grounds, combined.
With a dearth of information on actual outcomes of combining these new drugs, and with competing terms such as adjunctive and rational polytherapy to contend with, it seems appropriate to discuss the issues of the place of the new drugs, and the role of clobazam, at the present time. The following papers consider some of the problems of polytherapy, the concept of rational combination therapy, the withdrawal of unwanted anticonvulsants, the new therapies, and the current role of clobazam in both adults and children.
