In this paper, we consider a non-autonomous predator-prey system in a poor patchy environment. Under the assumption that the intrinsic growth rates of the species may be negative, sufficient conditions are obtained for the permanence and extinction of the system considered.

By using a continuation theorem based on coincidence degree theory, we establish easily verifiable criteria for the existence of periodic solutions in generalized ratio-dependent predator-prey systems. Some known results are shown to be special cases of the presented paper.
A stage-structured three-species predator-prey system with Beddington-DeAngelis and Holling IV functional response is proposed and analyzed. Based on the comparison theorem, some sufficient and necessary conditions are derived for permanence of the system. Finally, two examples are presented to illu
